    Lovely and flattering dress
I bought this dress (along with the peach and ivory Edwardian hat from Recollections) for a gala event in Baltimore with a Victorian theme. I've done Victorian several times for events so I wanted to go in Edwardian for a fun change. High necklines aren't flattering on me, so I was looking for a graceful looking dress that had a lower neckline. This was perfect. The waist was elasticized, although a little hard to get on, but it fit perfectly and was comfortable to wear. The additional self-fabric belt really finished the look. The sheer bell sleeves are very feminine, and I love the extra layer of draping at the bodice. The lace everywhere is beautiful, and very well done. It felt just a tiny bit short to me, but I guess by Edwardian times, hemlines were a little shorter anyway. I wore a dressy satin shoe with a low heel and it worked well. Together with the hat, this dress was an incredible look. I got so many compliments on the historical accuracy and the detail of my entire outfit. And it was so much fun to wear! I paired it with a delicate amethyst pendant and several pearl necklaces, plus lace gloves. WOW!
