Q: style 792st/1032st Lara would be classified as a ball gown to me because of the low neckline and shorter sleeve worn by late 80s Victorians yet you also show it worn with a hat on style "Tessa" which was never worn to a ball or dinner occasion. Is this a ball gown or day dress? Thanks for your reply.
A: Our clothing is not meant to be exact to any era, but rather resemble them. However, we feel this ensemble is based more on the Victorian Era, and do not categorize it as a ball gown.
Q: I am interested in Lara. How long will it take for me to receive my order? I am probably closer to a 16 than 14. Where should I measure to be sure to get the right size? Sue
A: Normal production is 4-6 weeks. If needed sooner we offer expedited shipping options. We strongly suggest ordering the size that is normally worn and sending a bust and waist measurement for production to check to ensure a proper fit.
Q: What length is the medium from waist to floor? I am short and am worried about the length.
A: The standard length on this item is waist to hem 40 inches. We can alter the length if needed for a 20.00 fee.

Most people find that our sizing runs generously. If you are undecided with which size to order, it is best to order the smaller size, or give us a call to assist you (1-800-452-5925). You may also email us at email@example.com with your measurements (bust and waist) and we can help you choose the nearest size.
An exception to the generous sizing is the type of ball gown that requires boning in the bodice and that supports a heavy skirt. Many times this style is also "off-the-shoulder" and requires a firm fit to stay up. These styles tend to not run as generously as most of our other garments because of this. But please, give us a call if you are uncertain.
In most cases you should take your bust and waist measurement to determine your size. Please wear the undergarments that you intend to wear when you do your measuring. For example, take your measurement over the type of brassiere or corset that you may be wearing.
Measure the fullest part of your bust around and the smallest part of your waist.
