If you missed last week’s episode, check out the recap here!

Well, Lord Grantham begins the episode by being snobbish, and ends it on the floor in something reminiscent of a Saturday night brawl at a cheap bar. By far the most interesting part of the episode is that Cora is caught with another man and Lord Grantham gets into a world-class MMA fight with him on the floor of the bedroom. While Cora never invited Bricker into her room, Grantham doesn’t believe her, and it appears as if their marriage will crumble (Gasp! Like we didn’t see that coming!). Grantham couldn’t possibly be more obvious at their cocktail party the next day, and everyone notices.

Meanwhile, while the Lord and Lady’s marriage is crumbling, Rose’s love life is blossoming. Mr. Atticus Aldridge is the sexy suitor that’s after Rose now, and he actually seems like a pretty nice guy. Of course, there has to be drama surrounding their relationship too, and the fact that Atticus is Jewish is sure to cause waves.

Lady Rosamund and Edith go to visit Marigold, and it tears Mrs. Drewe up on the inside. She’s been getting less and less civil around Edith, which has sucked the joy and life out of Edith in general. Not surprising. But now Rosamund and the Dowager want to take Marigold away forever, Cora is gleefully unaware, and Mary could care less.

Miss Bunting and Tom break off their relationship—which is a relief, because every dinner scene doesn’t need to be a nuclear battle of socialism versus monarchism. Tom is torn, but in the end chooses the Grantham family over political beliefs. Congratulations on being an adult! But, Miss Bunting has decided to leave because of another job offer (and probably a broken heart). Tom does the right thing by meeting her and giving her a proper goodbye.

Mary continues her scheme to break it off with Tony Gillingham with Charles Blake’s help. He invites Foxy Mabel to dinner and she throws Mary back into her place (which is hilarious, as always). Blake tells her he has a grand plan to get Tony off Mary’s honorable back. And, from what he says, their work really is done.

As comic relief for the episode, Miss Patmore and Mrs. Hughes gently shut down Carson’s idea for an investment, and compliment his ‘insight’ while doing something completely different. The Dowager tries to get Isobel to fall out of love with her suitor by reintroducing Dr. Clarkson into the mix. While a funny and unfruitful plan, it only proves just how well suited Isobel and Merton are for each other.

The final scene of the episode leaves Edith making a mysterious phone call to London, proving there is something going on up in that gloomy little head of hers. Will she move baby Marigold? Will Mary get rid of Tony? Will Cora ever make up with Lord Grantham? We know none of this will probably be answered before the Christmas Special, but we can hope for at least more details next time.
