Experience the fashion of centuries past wearing this cotton dress - a true Victorian cut. From a very young age, this is what our designer would often envision when thinking of classic "Victorian fashion." From the tailored fit of the straight cut bodice to the modest high collar neckline and long tapered set sleeves, this dress is perfect! The graceful four-paneled skirt is full enough to accommodate a hoop or petticoat. Front button closure with metal button accents. What a delightful dress! Available in sizes XS to XXXXL. Your choice of skirt length: boot length 35" or floor length 40". In a variety of ravishing colors for your preference. Hand wash or machine wash gently. Tumble dry. 100% cotton. The model is wearing a petticoat, pendant watch, and lace gloves all of which are priced separately. Designed and made proudly by Recollections in America!

Q: HI,Is the dress shown in this picture in the 'chocolate' print colour?
A: Yes! The color shown in the picture is chocolate.
Q: Is it possible to have dresses customized? As in added decorative details? Thanks!
A: We can sometimes make changes to an item depending on the request. Production has the final say and there may be added fees. Any changes make the item non-returnable/exchangeable. We suggest you email us with your request.
Q: What should be worn under the cotton dress dress ?Thank you.
A: You can wear a crinoline, petticoat or simple slip.
Q: Would the cotton dress be suitable for maternity wear if I order several sizes larger than usual? I'm going to a victorian faire, but I'll be 8 months pregnant, and I've got nothing to wear!
A: We would not recommend this style for maternity wear. We would suggest Edwardian style with the empire waist.
Q: Are any other colours available? I am after something in between the Dresden Blue and Navy Blue
A: The colors swatches shown are current and all that is available.
Q: Will the hoop length work with an abundance of petticoats as well? I have a hoop, and would therefore like this dress to work with a hoopskirt, but for days when I don't want to/cannot wear a hoop, would this work sans hoop? Perhaps with a number of petticoats? Thanks!
A: No, a hoop will not fit with this dress. A crinoline or petticoat will work.
Q: I am a 34 bust and a 27.5 waist....should I order the small or medium?
A: The size XS finishes at bust 37 and waist 24.5, the small is bust 39 and waist 28.
Q: Would I need to wear a slip with this dress?
A: A slip is not necessary, unless you choose a lighter color that may be see through.
Q: Hi there!Would you recommend ordering a Small or XSmall for a 26 inch waist measurement? Thanks!
A: Size small is bust 39 and waist 28 Size XS is bust 37 and waist 24.5
Q: Hi, I was wondering if I should measure where my belly button would be for my waist or where my hips are? Also, my arms are a but big, and I'm worried if I order a size based off my hip and bust measurements that there is a chance my arms won't fit right, would I be able to send in my arm measurements just to check?
A: Measuring the natural waist is generally the belly button area. Send bust and waist and upper arm when ordering to ensure a proper fit.
Q: When buying clothes in regular stores, a lot of the time my shoulders and upper arms are to broad For the right fit (small waist hips) can you ajust your pattern to fit my posture? (It became like this from sports and now carrying my twin toddlers around)
A: Yes we can generally alter. Not sure what the fee would be, if any. I can only suggest when you order to post your measurements for production to check.

Most people find that our sizing runs generously. If you are undecided with which size to order, it is best to order the smaller size, or give us a call to assist you (1-800-452-5925). You may also email us at email@example.com with your measurements (bust and waist) and we can help you choose the nearest size.
An exception to the generous sizing is the type of ball gown that requires boning in the bodice and that supports a heavy skirt. Many times this style is also "off-the-shoulder" and requires a firm fit to stay up. These styles tend to not run as generously as most of our other garments because of this. But please, give us a call if you are uncertain.
In most cases you should take your bust and waist measurement to determine your size. Please wear the undergarments that you intend to wear when you do your measuring. For example, take your measurement over the type of brassiere or corset that you may be wearing.
Measure the fullest part of your bust around and the smallest part of your waist.
