Q: Do you have a picture of this dress (or another) in the Golden Sand color that I could view? Curious to know if the color appears more ivory than tan. Is there a sample of the fabric and color that can be mailed to me?
A: Yes! We have a picture of the golden sand. I have copied the link for you. http://recollections.biz/victorian/140592-3.html We would also be happy to send you a sample of the fabric. You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your request and address.
Q: I really like this dress! But I am petite (4'11") and I need to know the drop of the skirt from the waist to the floor...and if the skirt can be altered or shortened (maybe at the waist?)
A: The length of the skirt from waist to hem is 40 inches. We can alter the length for a 20.00 fee, and this will make the skirt non-returnable/exchangeable.
Q: I love the train but wonder if there is a way to bustle it up/draw it up to avoid an ungracious misstep from another guest at the ball?
A: Yes, the skirt has bustle ties, and can be bustled if needed.
Q: I love your clothes! I got a dress from here the Ava one and wore it to the stanley hotel. THEY LOVED IT! I would like this dress But is it possible to just get the top? I don't really like to match.
A: Yes! you can purchase just the jacket. http://recollections.biz/victorian/131200.html
Q: What is the standard measurement for arm diameter for the jacket in a 2x? I have quite powerful arms. If the normal is too small, can this be special ordered to accomidate?
A: I do not have that measurement information. But if needed we can put in a large sleeve at no charge.
Q: Can the tafetta skirt be made in black? If so, if I ordered a white jacket, can the tafetta on the jacket also be made black? I think it would look very dashing. Obviously it would be a special no returns order.
A: Yes we can make the skirt in black taffeta, the jacket in the white with black trim. No price change, but non-returnable.

Most people find that our sizing runs generously. If you are undecided with which size to order, it is best to order the smaller size, or give us a call to assist you (1-800-452-5925). You may also email us at email@example.com with your measurements (bust and waist) and we can help you choose the nearest size.
An exception to the generous sizing is the type of ball gown that requires boning in the bodice and that supports a heavy skirt. Many times this style is also "off-the-shoulder" and requires a firm fit to stay up. These styles tend to not run as generously as most of our other garments because of this. But please, give us a call if you are uncertain.
In most cases you should take your bust and waist measurement to determine your size. Please wear the undergarments that you intend to wear when you do your measuring. For example, take your measurement over the type of brassiere or corset that you may be wearing.
Measure the fullest part of your bust around and the smallest part of your waist.
