The fitted bodice of the pioneer style has a graceful sweetheart neckline, and short puffed sleeves gathered into lace-edged cuffs. The bottom edge of the bodice dips into a figure flattering "V". The bodice closes at the back with your choice of zipper or hooks and eyes. The generous skirt is full enough to accommodate a very full petticoat, and is gathered into the bodice at the waistline. Two rows of lace accent the hemline. 100% cotton. Hand wash cold, hang to dry. Recollections clothing is made in America. Ola completes this look with a crinoline, jewelry, hat and gloves and all are priced separately.

Q: I am looking at the Mary Elizabeth dress. Is it possible to provide our own fabric for this?
A: We are sorry, we are unable to accept fabric from our customers.
Q: Why is it that you NEVER display your gowns in one of the patterns available to order? It really is frustrating.
A: Our calico fabrics are always changing. We would be happy to send fabric samples.
Q: I'm rather tall. Can you make a dress a bit longer? If so, what is the extra charge?
A: Yes we can alter the length for a 20.00 fee.
Q: Is it possible to get the Mary Elizabeth dress in a solid fabric? Light Blue or Lilac? Such as a fabric you use on another dress?
A: We can make the dress in a solid cotton, same price, but non-returnable.

Most people find that our sizing runs generously. If you are undecided with which size to order, it is best to order the smaller size, or give us a call to assist you (1-800-452-5925). You may also email us at email@example.com with your measurements (bust and waist) and we can help you choose the nearest size.
An exception to the generous sizing is the type of ball gown that requires boning in the bodice and that supports a heavy skirt. Many times this style is also "off-the-shoulder" and requires a firm fit to stay up. These styles tend to not run as generously as most of our other garments because of this. But please, give us a call if you are uncertain.
In most cases you should take your bust and waist measurement to determine your size. Please wear the undergarments that you intend to wear when you do your measuring. For example, take your measurement over the type of brassiere or corset that you may be wearing.
Measure the fullest part of your bust around and the smallest part of your waist.
