Linda, a Seamstress Supervisor, has worked at Recollections for the past five years.  Her job consists of allocating work assignments and seamstress functions.  Her specialty is creating rich, gorgeous velvet jackets!

Linda has fond memories of teaching herself to sew as a young girl.  Using her mother’s old Pfaff sewing machine, and her grandmother’s fabric scraps, she would sew for hours and hours making outfits for her little sister.  Even today, Linda sometimes likes to stay up all night sewing because she enjoys it so much.

Married with two sons, one daughter, and four granddaughters, Linda has continued sewing for her own family.  She made her daughter’s prom dresses and helped customize her wedding gown.  She even used fabric from her daughter’s gown to make a special, one-of-a-kind baptismal dress for her granddaughter.  She is proud of her grown children and the wonderful parents they have become.

Linda loves spending time with her granddaughters and taking them on outings.  She looks forward to teaching them all to sew someday.  Linda also enjoys gardening, Victorian decorating, canning, her church community, working with youth, and spending time with a special friend who is like a sister to her.

She feels fortunate that she is able to work amongst friends and earn a living doing something she likes to do as a hobby.   Always cheerful, she adds with a bright smile,   “I am blessed with a pretty nice life.”
