Jamie has been modeling for Recollections for eight years. Her personality shines through her photographs! Always smiling and cheery, Jamie personifies the pretty, historic heroine. She is the type of person every American pioneer woman would have liked to have for a neighbor – a kind friend to share life’s stories with. On photo shoot days, Jamie enjoys getting her hair and make-up done and dressing in the beautiful, elegant gowns. She says that it is a glorious day of pampering! Jamie is married and has a son, daughter, and is pregnant and due in August. She and her family enjoy doing everything together from deer hunting and fishing to working in their vegetable garden. She also works as a substitute teacher and senior high camp director. She’d like to teach fulltime when her children get a little older. In her free time she likes to work on her family scrapbooks, do needle point and cross-stitch work, play the piano and flute, and sing in her church choir. Modeling at historic lighthouses, along Michigan’s Great Lakes shorelines, has been among Jamie’s favorite experiences. The crisp white, weathered exteriors of the lighthouses and the sounds of the waves breaking on the shore, become a beautiful backdrop. Jamie hopes that, with her pony-tailed young daughter by her side, they will be able to model fanciful, feminine Recollection’s garments together someday.
