Barb

Barb is one of the newer employees at Recollections.  She is a customer service representative who is responsible for answering phones and addressing and invoicing email orders.  For the past 20 years, Barb had worked for her family’s large farm procuring agriculture tissue cultures.  She is excited about learning all facets of her new job that is so different from her past work.  She enjoys the challenges of learning new things about the garment business everyday and loves working with the staff.  It took a lot of courage to begin a new career, and she’s glad that she did.

Barb has been married for over 32 years, has two sons, one daughter, and one grandchild.  She is most proud of her grown children who are all doing well.  She is known as a good listener whom people can turn to in time of need.  Barb enjoys gardening, cross stitching, walking, and reading mystery novels while sitting on her porch swing on warm summer days.

Barb says that it is a pleasure working in the period costume industry with women who enjoy what they’re doing so much.  She also says that it’s amazing working for a global business.  The first order she took was from England!
